Justin Bieber, Ke$ha
and Lea Michelle
have all been nominated for a PETA Award!
The young superstars, who will go head-to-head at this year’s Libby Awards, have been recognised by PETA’s youth division, peta2, for their help in raising awareness about animal rights.
Earlier this year Justin appeared in a campaign for the organization, telling Beliebers,
"My world includes passion for animals, yours should too"
and "Animals can make u smile. Adopt from your local shelter."
Meanwhile, wacky songstress Ke$ha featured in a ad campaigning against the slaughter of Canadian seals and ‘Glee’
star Lea spoke out against the mistreatment of carriage horses in New York.
Also scooping nods for the bash, which will take place on January 17,
star Steve-O, Cobra Starship’s
frontman Gabe Saporta,
star Daniella Monet, The Ready Set, Tokio Hotel, Hellogoodbye
and the Swellers.
"Our nominees have all worked hard to shine their spotlights on a variety of important animal issues,"
peta2 Division Manager Marta Holmberg told MTV News of the nominees.
"As our accomplished stars demonstrate, compassion isn't just a virtue — it's also a road to success."
