Justin Timberlake hits back at Kanye West on Saturday Night Live
Justin Timberlake has got his own back in regards to Kanye West’s diss of his comeback single – choosing to share his feelings over the rapper’s comments during his recent hosting stint on ‘Saturday Night Live’!
Last month, Kim Kardashian’s baby-daddy caused a stir when he directed comments at JT and Jay-Z’s collab ‘Suit & Tie’ during a concert in London, exclaiming: “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f**king with that ‘Suit & Tie.’”
And while it seemed as if Justin had swept Yeezy’s comments under the rug, the star took the opportunity to fight back during a skit on SNL over the weekend by altering the lyrics to the song in question.
Instead of singing “Aww, sh*t so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit,” JT changed them to, “My hit’s so sick got RAPPERS acting dramatic,” – an obvious dig at West.
This latest SNL appearance was the fifth time the star had hosted the show and as such, he was welcomed into the Five-Timers Club by a parade of comedy legends with whom he shares the honour, including Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks and Chevy Chase.
JT opened the show dressed as Elton John, paying tribute to recently deceased Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
Decked out in a flamboyant blue sequinned suit complete with matching glasses and a blonde wig, the singer belted out his own lyrics to John’s hit ‘Candle in the Wind,’ crooning: “You lived your life like a candle in the wind / If a candle could pull out two pistols at a press conference.”
The ‘Cry Me A River’ star also dressed up as a piece of tofu to promote Veganville restaurant – encouraging healthy eating through remakes of ‘Le Freak,’ ‘Ice Ice Baby,’ ‘Dancing With Myself (Thinking About My Health)’ and an ode to quinoa entitled ‘We Found Love (In a Meatless Place),’ topping the whole thing off with his own Harlem Shake.
