Nathan Sykes makes post-surgery debut at Summertime Ball!
After expressing his desire last week to get back on stage with the rest of The Wanted, Nathan Sykes officially made his return at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball in London over the weekend!
The 20-year-old had been taking a break from singing following vocal cord surgery back in April, but appeared to be back in fine form for his brief appearance in front of the 80,000-strong crowd at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
MTV UK reports that after The Wanted had run through a set jam-packed with hits, Sykes made his surprise appearance to sing his solo on their 2012 single ‘I Found You.’
The band’s manager, Scooter Braun, was stoked to see Sykes back in action tweeting: “That was incredible!!! @NathanTheWanted I’m very proud of u. U worked hard and that was an amazing surprise and ridiculous solo!! Well done!”
And it was undoubtedly a momentous moment for Nathan too, who also took to Twitter following the show.
“Thank for all the love today,” he wrote. “Really put a smile on my face…”
