BDO 2nd Announcement!
BDO has announced its second batch of global and local superstars gracing the stage for the annual sonic extravaganza!
According to the festival website, ex-Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, Regurgitator, Kimbra, Drapht, Nero, The Vaccines and Bluejuice have been added to the already stellar bill which includes Kanye West, Kasabian and Soundgarden. Skating legend Tony Hawk will also be defying gravity with a bunch of his mates on a 40ft vert ramp.
But along with this morning’s announcement, festival organizers have made some big changes to the New Zealand, Adelaide and Perth dates – those festivals have been downsized, with the Perth show now being moved to Brownes Stadium, meaning Kanye West, Mariachi El Bronx and Hilltop Hoods have been dropped. In New Zealand the festival will be cut down to just four stages with Kanye dropped from the bill, while in Adelaide, BDO has downsized from seven to four stages with Kanye West, Mariachi El Bronx and the Living End shed from the line up.
Festival organisers issued a statement explaining the changes, saying they wanted to recapture “the magic of early Big Day Out shows”.
Fans who have already bought tickets to the shows affected will be offered a $20 credit voucher at the merchandise stand, or they can claim a refund of the ticket price. Those in SA or WA also have the option of exchanging their ticket for an east coast Big Day Out show.
