Kanye Spikes Jonze
Kanye West and director, Spike Jonze, are collaborating on a short film, or a very long music video.
While the details are under wraps, whatever they've created runs about 15 minutes long and features the track ‘See You In My Nightmares’ - taken from Kanye's ‘808s And Heartbreak’ album. No release date has been set and no one has seen anything of the footage produced.
West and Jonze first worked together on the videoclip for ‘Flashing Lights’. That clip was kind of disturbing and saw Kanye murdered while tied up in the boot of his car by a jilted lover - an Amazonian broad in lingerie, obviously.
While Spike Jonze made his name with a string of acclaimed videoclips - ‘Sabotage’ by the Beastie Boys, ‘Praise You’ with Fatboy Slim and Weezer's ‘Buddy Holly’ - he's since moved into feature films. ‘Being John Malkovich’ is his best known effort to date, but he's also just finished work on ‘Where The Wild Things Are’, a feature film based on the children’s books from back in the day.
Kanye is said to be working on a follow-up to ‘808s And Heartbreak’ at the moment. It's supposed to be less emo and more hip hop.
Can't wait to lay our ears on it.
