Kim Kardashian calls her sexy selfie a “big middle finger to the world”
Kim Kardashian has revealed that the sexy full-body selfie she posted to Instagram earlier this month was a hit-back at the media and bloggers who had called her fat during her pregnancy and in turn affected the way she felt about herself.
Speaking to late night talk show host Jay Leno this week, the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ starlet revealed how the va-va-voom photo came to be posted on her Instagram and admitted that she asked her fiancé Kanye West’s permission before showing her derriere to the world.
“I was trying on a bathing suit and I actually just sent that to my boyfriend – my fiancé – and I was like, ‘Babe, can I post this up? This is my, like, big middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat,’” she explained, according to The Daily Mail.
And with Yeezy’s approval, the star managed to silence her critics within seconds.
Speaking of being the subject of cruel taunts about her weight during her pregnancy with daughter North, the 33-year-old admitted: “It really hurt my soul.”
“I changed how I am in the public a little bit… There were these stories where I was, like, 200 pounds. I was gaining weight because I was pregnant and it was really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things. And I think people sometimes question, they think I’m out ‘in hiding’ now.”
As for her incredible post-baby figure, Kim revealed: “Actually I got on the scale today and it said that I am 50lbs down. That made me so excited.”
