Thirty Seconds to Mars unveil celebrity-filled ‘City of Angels’ video
An inspiring new video from Thirty Seconds To Mars has been released, which reveals celebrity confessions about the triumphs and tribulations they’ve faced living in the city of dreams – Los Angeles.
The music video for the single ‘City of Angels,’ features cameos from a lineup of stars including Kanye West, Lindsay Lohan, James Franco, Selena Gomez and Ashley Olsen, Juliette Lewis, Ashley Olsen, Olivia Wilde, Lily Collins, Shaun White, Corey Feldman and frontman Jared Leto. Impersonators of Marilyn Monroe, Superman and Michael Jackson are also included.
Each person shares their love and hate for the city and explores how Tinseltown can both make you and break you.
“I've disappointed myself the most in my life. To not be like, 'Wake the f*ck up, look what you have. This is what you've wanted,’” shares Lindsay Lohan.
“The City of Angels is where I was able to find myself again, the real me,” she adds.
Kanye West also speaks out about having lost and found, revealing: "This city took my mother, but this city also gave me my child."
About half-way through the music video, the stars open up about dreams and disappointments, with Ashley Olsen explaining: “Things can be given to you quite easily, but they get ripped away so quickly as well.”
The clip goes for over 11 minutes, so it’s more of short film than a music video, the band do however manage to belt out their tune in between monologues overlooking the city.
The bands latest album ‘Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams’ is out now.
