Kasabian's Solo Plans
As Kasabian announce plans to take a well-deserved “break” from music – frontman Tom Meighan has revealed plans to branch out alone!
The singer - who joined his band mates on stage at the UK’s ‘V Festival’ this weekend for their final show before taking some time out – insisted he won’t be going far from the recording studio.
In an interview with the News of the World, he said,
"The gigs are great but we've worked so hard. It's the travelling that gets you. You have to look after yourself. We have been to so many countries, you forget where you are. It wears you down.
“I will do something musically in between. And I'm thinking of doing a TV documentary. I am just going to see what comes up.
“It's all right for the rest of the band with their families and babies. But I will need to find something to occupy my time. I've got to do something. To me a few months will seem like millions of years."
And for those of you who are desperate for a fourth album from the Brit rockers – be prepared for something “completely different”.
Guitarist and lead song-writer Serge Pizzorno said of their future plans,
“We’re going to the studio later this year, we’re just going to experiment. If we get some tunes together and it’s going great we’ll bring them out as soon as we can, but I don’t want to say it’s going to be this or it’s going to be that, we’re going to the studio to experiment. Whatever we do it will be a different album.”
