Miller-Heidke Gets Shiny!
Aussie folktronic filly Kate Miller-Heidke is celebrating reaching platinum record sales status today.
In Oz, an artist receives a sleek platinum disc for selling over 70,000 copies of an album or single.
And Kate’s done the double, scooping the honour – and the attractive, shiny wall decorations - for both her album, ’Curiouser’, and her dreamy current single, ’The Last Day On Earth’.
‘Curiouser’ is currently at #2 on the ARIA album chart after three weeks in the Top-10 and is also smashing it in the iTunes Top-10.
Meanwhile, ‘The Last Day On Earth’ is at #3 on both the iTunes and ARIA charts and has spent 8 weeks in the Top-10.
The quirky songstress is currently cooking up tunes for her third album, in London. The singer writes all her material with her hubby and song-writing partner Keir Nuttal.
But fret not, locals, Kate will be back on Aussie shores when she embarks on her ‘Last Day On Earth Tour’ in November.
Kicking off on November 10 in Byron Bay and wrapping up at Melbourne’s The Forum theatre on November 28, it looks like being a good ‘un.
