14 Aussie Actresses Who Are Totally Slaying Hollywood Right Now

...

We know we're great. But, now the whole world is starting to pay attention to the incredibly talented people we breed down here in Australia.

Turn on any TV, head to any cinema or flick on any streaming service online at the moment and you'll see it's completely awash with Aussie actresses. You bewt.

Our Down Under gyals are totally slaying Hollywood right now and we'd like you to get to know them a lil better.

Tilda Cobham-Hervey

You may recognise this pixie face as being Dev Patel's rumoured new girlfriend but she's making waves atm in her own right. Tilda, 22, already has a slew of films to her name but the upcoming Hotel Mumbai is touted as her breakout.

Phoebe Tonkin

Old Tonks has been on our radar ever since she landed a lead role in The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals. Being in one of Hollywood's most beloved TV shows means big things will be coming for this 27-year-old.

Mia Wasikowska

With four major films coming out in the next couple of years it's safe to say that Mia is in high demand in La La Land. And if you've seen any of her movies it's really not hard to see why.

Margot Robbie

It might seem like a no-brainer but how could we leave out Margot on this list? Arguably our most successful export ever, this Gold Coast gal is surely ready for her first Oscar nomination right about now.

Natasha Bassett

After landing the role of Britney Spears in the Lifetime biopic the whole world sat up and paid attention to the Sydney-born actress. She was nominated for the prestigious Health Ledger Scholarship a few years ago, so needless to say she's got the chops to give this a proper crack.

Emily Browning

After taking a hiatus to finish studying, the Melbourne-born actress is back and better than ever with a starring role in the series American Gods. And who can forget her in Lemony Snicket? We'll love Emily forever for that one.

Danielle Macdonald

Now this gal is creating noise. After moving to the States in 2010 she's been toiling away in hearty roles but it's her lead role in Patti Cakes that has garnered a standing ovation at this year's Cannes Film Festival. We smell Oscar buzz!

Claire Holt

This 28-year-old beauty stars alongside her former H20: Just Add Water co-star Phoebe Tonkin in The Originals. She's also scored a lead role in the film 47 Metres Down set for release this year.

Bella Heathcote

Bella certainly has been busy. She starred as Leila Williams in this year's Fifty Shades Darker and was cast last year in the drama series The Man In The High Castle.

Ashleigh Brewer

The Neighbours-alum moved to Hollywood and found herself on set of another very famous soap - The Bold And The Beautiful. She's nabbed millions of followers for playing Ivy Forrester and we'll gladly say we're a few of them.

Annabelle Stephenson

After landing a recurring role on hit show Revenge this Gold Coast-raised actress has two films coming out this year. Pray For Rain and Escape Room are already both generating huge buzz with Annabelle's performances being touted as brilliant.

Alexandra Park

Alexandra cut her teeth in the industry with roles in The Elephant Princess and Home & Away before moving to the states. She now stars as Princess Eleanor in the hit series The Royals.

Teresa Palmer

Back in 2006 her gut-wrenching role in the film 2:37 put her star firmly on the radar. Cut to 11-years later and this talented lady is one of the most in-demand young actresses in Hollywood.

Katherine Langford

It's funny to think that a few months ago we didn't even know this name or face. But boy do we know about Katherine Langfird now. The 21-year-old Perth-native broke onto the scene with her role of Hannah Baker in 13 Reasons Why. She's now gearing up to film season two of the series and a movie with Jennifer Garner.
