Kelly Clarkson Talks Her Australian Tour!
Kelly Clarkson’s just announced she’s hitting our shores this September - and now the songstress has revealed that her band will be selecting songs for her to sing as she’s touring!
"We [will] learn a new song every day, one of my songs or anyone's songs...When I come to Australia they could pick Delta Goodrem or Gotye. There's a lot of great music out there, I might as well sing it all," the singer said in an interview with Lucky magazine.
The ‘Since U Been Gone’ singer will be joined on the road by US rockers The Fray and ‘The Voice Australia’ finalist Sarah De Bono.
And speaking of reality TV, Kelly says that she thinks it’s a crucial way for new music talent to get their start.
"TV is the new form of artist development. The music industry doesn't have as much money as it used to. If you don't hit it right off the bat, you get dropped.
"It's coming back around. In Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin's day they had radio contests, that's how a lot of them got their start. It's just on TV right now. TV is the most powerful medium now."
Meanwhile, the former 'American Idol' winner appears happier than ever after finding love with her new man Brandon Blackstock!
The songstress, who’s been dating the music manager since February this year, gushed to Lucky magazine that he is a real "southern gentleman."
"I wouldn't date him if he wasn't," she said.
