Botox Doc Says His A-List Clients Are Havin' An Absolute Meltdown In Isolation Without His Services
Even in lockdown, when nobody but your cat is gonna see you, people are still desperate to keep their faces plump and young.
“I’m getting around 20 - 45 calls a day coming through to my nurses for a variety of cosmetic and medical issues,” said Dr Lancer. “The majority of my clients are high-profile people, whether in entertainment or politics and they require a lot of care, but most of the people I see are extremely disciplined about home skin care. It’s about ensuring care when you can’t see patients for long spurts of time.”
FYI, filler last around four months so this lockdown definitely has got a few frown lines appearing. So many actually that Dr Lancer has a full calendar come America’s summer.
Page Six reports he has over 1,000 appointments for “Botox, fillers and other rejuvenating treatments — with many sending him and his nurses selfies every day.”
Unfortunately for the doctor, some of his clients can’t wait until he opens his doors and have tried at-home treatments to horrific results.
“The first week or two of lockdown, I get this urgent message with a slew of photographs to my cell phone from an entertainment attorney, a young woman who’s been a patient of mine since law school,” he began. “Within an hour [of applying a chemical peel, she] ended up with first- and second-degree burns. I said, ‘Why would you do that?!’ She told me, ‘You just think — how bad can it be?’
“It took us about 12 days to repair her face, with photos, phone calls and medication that had to be delivered. So, don’t go looking for a quick and relatively less expensive fix because that’s when you’ll get into more trouble.” Dr Lancer advised.
Dr. Lancer shares a story about the first COVID-19 patient that has experienced a significant skin reaction. COVID-19 can also have dermatologic components; therefore, if you are experiencing skin related issues, be sure to report it to your general physician or dermatologist. His at-home advice? A good diet, plenty of water and exercise.
We’ll try to stick to that, but the fridge is only four steps away from our desk.
