Grab Your Headphones 'Coz Kim Kardashian West Is Officially Launching Her Own Podcast
Get ready for Kim Kardashian West’s LA drawl to hit your earbuds soon. Yep, this week it was announced the reality star had signed an exclusive deal with Spotify to produce and host a new podcast.
The show will focus on the mum-of-four’s work with The Innocence Project, a non-profit legal organisation aiming to put a stop to wrongful convictions through DNA testing and advocating for criminal justice, reports The Wall Street Journal.
TV producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi will co-host and co-produce the podcast.
If you’ve been keeping up with Keeping Up With The Kardashians in recent years, you’d know that Kardashian’s been working as a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform and also been studying to become a lawyer through an apprenticeship program. Find out more about Kim's role in prison reform here.
There's no word yet on just how lucrative this deal is for Kardashian yet, but Spotify have been known to fork out big bucks for exclusive podcasting deals.
The deal comes a month after it was announced that podcaster extraordinaire Joe Rogan had signed a deal with Spotify worth more than $100 million to move his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, to the streaming service.
Earlier this year, Spotify also bought Bill Simmons’ sports and culture site The Ringer, which has more than 30 podcasts. The streaming service owns award-winning narrative podcasting company, Gimlet Media too.
We gotta say, props to Kim for using her platform to spread awareness on this issue. Will you be tuning in?
