Kodaline to play secret show in Sydney tonight!
They’re in Sydney for just a matter of days, but that hasn’t stopped Irish quartet Kodaline from planning a very special one-off gig just for their Aussie fans!
Today, it was announced that Kodaline will be playing a secret show tonight (Tuesday September 17) at The Soda Factory in Sydney’s Surry Hills. The band will be on stage at 9pm and will treat fans to a stripped back set showcasing tracks from their debut album.
After making their Australian debut on ‘The X Factor’ last night with their single ‘High Hopes,’ the track is now sitting at #6 on the iTunes chart and their album ‘In a Perfect World’ is at #5 – so it makes sense the lads would want to thank their fans from Down Under.
The down to earth Irish lads have made a habit of playing smaller, more intimate shows wherever they travel, telling MTV Australia today that last St Patrick’s Day, they even took to one of Dublin’s busiest streets for a bit of a busking session!
“The reaction from the Australian fans has been so amazing, we can’t wait to get on stage tonight and play for them,” said lead singer, Stephen Garrigan, in a statement.
“We’d love to see everyone come down tonight, it’s just our way of saying thank you for all their support.”
Entry is free for this one-off show at The Soda Factory (16 Wentworth Ave, Surry Hills, Sydney) and doors open at 6.30pm.
