I'm A Gender Fluid YouTuber, Here's How I Deal With Online Hate
We've all had our fair share of hate thrown at us from people who are inconsiderate towards our feelings. A hater isn’t necessarily someone you don’t know, they can be anyone. Growing up I always found myself to be different in comparison to the “other boys” because I was more feminine than they were. Just like any other “different” individual, I got mocked and teased throughout the years. Once I started creating online content it only got worse as I was an easy target for people to pick on.
Dealing with hate is something i’d like to think i’m really good at so here are my top three tips on how to deal with online trolls...
1. Ignore: It may be hard to do but is not impossible. Whenever you get offended by a hateful comment, always remember that someone took time out of their day to write out something about you. The best way to get back at them is to ignore the comment, block or report the person. Then maybe write a low key shady status to rub it in their face, BUT that’s debatable.
2. Don’t take it personally: The hater is most likely jealous of you and how beautiful you are so who gives a fuck. They’re obviously dealing with their own insecurities because they wished they were you. So keep doing what you’re doing, and don’t allow these losers to stop you from succeeding in life.
3. Be confident: Confidence is key in any situation because it literally can get you anywhere if you believe in yourself. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone at times and teach these bitches a lesson or two. Also you should never have to deal with hate alone, tell and someone whats going on so that you have a support system around you.
With that said, the world should be spreading love not hate and we can only hope for a better future so #StayPositive!
