Kylie To Disappear
Princess of pop Kylie Minogue has a secret plan to recapture her hit-bagging heyday and snag No 1s all over the globe again. How? By falling off the face of the earth.
The 41-year-old frown-less wonder will disappear for 12 months in which time she plans to produce half an album’s worth of songs with hot UK hit-making factory, Xenomania.
Xenomania - aka super songwriter/producer Brian Higgins and his team - are ma-hassive in the UK, most notably for turning Brit girl band Girls Aloud into a human conveyor belt of chart-topping singles and albums and influencing rock band Franz Ferdinand's new dancier direction.
Kylie’s aim by hooking up with Xenomania is to give Lady GaGa and Madonna a run for their money and recapture the popularity she had in 2001 when uber-hit ’Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ became a global phenomenon.
Kylie has roped in the talents of quirky Brit singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot to create the other half of the album.
And the pocket-sized popstrel means business: she’s scrubbed her diary clean of engagements for the rest of the year and plans to stay under the radar until 2010 in order to build up excitement around her return.
A source told the UK’s The Sun: "Kylie wants to come back with a bang. Her last album, ’X’, sold quite well but it wasn't the triumphant return to form many people hoped for.
"By working with Xenomania she hopes she can create a really coherent album which will connect her right back to the pop market."
See you soon, missus.
