PM To Induct Kylie!
Being inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame is possibly the highest mark of distinction an Aussie muso can hope for – and now, the night of musical honours is even more prestigious with the news that our Prime Minister Julia Gillard and ‘300’ actor David Wenham will be inducting Kylie Minogue and The Wiggles respectively!
According to a press release, Kyles, who shares her 25th anniversary in music with the awards, first met Julia at a tsunami fundraiser in Tokyo eight months ago.
"The pop princess and the Prime Minister struck up a friendship over the dinner and both look forward to meeting each other again under much happier circumstances," said the statement.
And there to cheer Kylie on on her night of honour will be her entire family and partner Andrés Velencoso.
‘Lord of the Rings’ actor David Wenham will be on hand to induct The Wiggles, while joining the presenters roll call will be superstar Stevie Nicks as well as ARIA Hall Of Fame inductee and Divinyls front-woman Chrissy Amphlett, ‘The Voice’ Australia judge Joel Madden and his brother Benji, Erin McNaught, Delta Goodrem, Ruby Rose and heaps more.
Meanwhile, taking to the stage for unforgettable performances will be Goyte and Kimbra, Drapht, Boy & Bear, Art vs Science, Gurrumul with Missy Higgins, Cut Copy, The Living End and Guy Sebastian.
