Katy Perry To Tour Oz
Katy Perry is returning to Australia in August for a limited run of shows along the east coast. Taking time out from her slagging match with Lily Allen, the 'I Kissed a Girl' singer is performing in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Since first showing up in 2008 Perry has sold over two million copies of her major label debut, 'One of the Boys'. Along the way she's performed throughout the world, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and followed up with hit singles like 'Hot n Cold' and 'Waking Up in Vegas'.
She's also found time for snarky remarks about Lilly Allen and has been involved in a bitter rivalry with Lady GaGa to determine who is the most out-there female pop star. Despite Perry's best efforts, GaGa's recent 'I take teacups everywhere/I’m the new Andy Warhol' shtick seems to have put her over the edge. As for the Lily Allen altercation, Perry provoked the British singers wraith after describing herself as a "skinnier version" of Allen. You can imagine how well that comment went down with our Lils.
Perry is currently working her latest single, 'Waking Up in Vegas'. Her Australia Tour dates are:
Wednesday, 12 August - The Tivoli, Brisbane
Friday, 14 August - The Forum, Melbourne
Monday, 17 August - The Enmore, Sydney
