Lady Gaga takes the stage with The Rolling Stones!
The biggest name in pop met her match in the form of the biggest bad boy in rock on Saturday night, when Lady Gaga hit the stage with The Rolling Stones for the final night of their ‘50 and Counting’ tour!
Mick Jagger and Mother Monster rocked out together to The Stones’ hit ‘Gimme Shelter,’ with both singers putting on an equally impressive performance, despite the over 40-year age-gap!
“I had a life dream to be transported in a time machine to 1973 NJ, beer + badboys. Someone heal me it happened + then I sang with the Stones,” tweeted Gaga after the show.
Along with Gaga, The Stones were also joined by a who’s who of musical guests, with Mick Jagger giving his fans a bit of a sneak peek at the action following rehearsals the day before.
“Rehearsals with @LadyGaga, @springsteen and @TheBlackKeys were great yesterday. Can't wait for tonight! …” tweeted Mick with a photo of the band and Lady Gaga together.
The Stones were joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen for a rendition of the ‘Exile on Main Street’ classic ‘Tumbling Dice’ and The Black Keys made an appearance for a cover of Bo Diddley’s ‘Who Do You Love?’, while Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer both made surprise returns, having already performed with the band earlier in the tour!
