Lana Condor Says There's A ‘Heart-Wrenching’ Deleted Scene From The ‘To All The Boys’ Sequel We All Desperately Need To See
If you couldn’t get enough of the love story between Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky, then you’re in luck because we have MORE.
Turns out there’s a cut scene from the sequel To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You that we’ve gotten some info on and it’s one you’ll want to know about.
Sarayu Blue, who played Dr. Covey’s girlfriend Trina, revealed that there’s a heart-to-heart moment between her and Lana Condor (Lara Jean) that didn’t make the final film.
Celebrating one year since wrapping the shoot, Sarayu posted a throwback to set when she and Lana had this candid scene.
“A year ago at this time, we were shooting #ToAlltheBoys2,” she said. “I landed on these pics the makeup artist had sent me and I remembered this story: @lanacondor & I had this very sweet little scene where we had a ❤️ to ❤️. There had been many versions, and many on-set revisions, but the final decision was that I’d be gardening. I am a terrible gardener.”
The actress then went on to commend Lana on her professionalism over the scene after it was interrupted numerous times (and apologised for her lack of gardening skills).
“Poor Lana had to do a fairly heart-wrenching scene, while I repeatedly murdered a daffodil (I think it was a daffodil?) She also had to stop over and over again for incessant birds, planes, and quite possibly the longest train in the history of trains,” she continued the caption. “Lana is such a pro though, she would stop, stay in the heart of it, and get right back to the scene with absolute grace & professionalism. Somehow, we got through it, crushed daffodils, relentless trains and all. The scene did not go into the film. I blame my gardening.”
If the film studio is reading this, we want to let you know that an extended version of the sequel would be appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed.
To All The Boys fans can rest easy though knowing that a third instalment is on the way with To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean.
