Is Liam Payne's New Song About Cheryl Trying To Dump Him Over The Phone?
Prepare your eardrums Liam Payne lovers, because the One Directioner has just dropped his second ever solo single and it's even more sexual than 'Strip That Down'.
Dubbed 'Bedroom Floor', the dancey chiller is all about that breakup (and makeup) sex, and there's a very strong chance it might also be inspired by the time Liam's baby mumma Cheryl Cole tried to dump him over the phone.
Speaking about his upcoming solo album to The Sun, Liam revealed that “There’s one song that is basically a phone call that happened between me and her when she was about to let it go."
“This is a long time ago," he added. "And it’s basically me trying to cling on and say, ‘No, no, no it’s all going to work out, don’t worry about it, give it time'."
And judging by the lyrics to 'Bedroom Floor', it's pretty damn likely it could be the song in question: “And every now when my iPhone rings, I be telling you. I told you / You said it was over, you said it was over, but your clothes say different on my bedroom floor / Baby I heard you been talking about me lately, telling all your friends how much you hate me, but who you calling up when you get lonely?”
But even if it is about their almost-breakup, Cheryl's still given 'Bedroom Floor' her tick of approval.
"We both like that song and it's been her favourite from the start," Liam told BBC Radio last month.
