Lorde thanks Kiwi fans with a full-page ad in the New Zealand Herald
As if we didn’t love Lorde enough already, she’s just gone and made us swoon all over again, buying a full-page ad in the New Zealand Herald to thank her local fans for all their support.
The black and white handwritten note was placed in yesterday’s paper following her two-time Grammy win at the ‘56th Annual Grammy Awards’ over the weekend.
“Hiya, if you're reading this, Joel [Little, who co-wrote the ‘Pure Heroine’ album] & I won. HOLY CRAP,” said the 17-year-old of her win for Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance for ‘Royals.’
“It was a crazy day & my friends & family over here are still freaking out. I just wanted to say thank you for the time you've given me these past 14 months.
“Finding out about me online, or in between these pages, or in your headphones. Without your support, there's no way I would ever have gotten to stand in the middle of the Staples Centre & perform in my school shoes,” she continued.
Lorde finished up the note by showing her excitement ahead of her performance at Silo Park in Auckland last night, saying: “I can’t wait for tonight’s show.
“Together, we’ll make it magic. I’ll see you there. xxx L.”
It’s just too adorable; excuse us while we tear up a bit.
