Diplo reveals Major Lazer are coming to Australia this summer
Hot off the release of their brand new album Peace Is The Mission, Diplo has revealed that Major Lazer are set to bring their new material to Australia by the end of the year.
Talking to Matt and Alex during an interview on triple j, the Mad Decent honco confirmed that he and his co-producers – Jillionaire and Walshy Fire – will head Down Under for a “big show” this summer.
“We are [coming to Australia],” he let slip during the breakfast show. “We have a big show lined up, I think, for November.”
Last in Australia to headline the 2014 line-up of the Big Day Out, Diplo also revealed that the band could bring some of their big-name collaborators along for the tour.
"MØ, we've done a lot of times [performing] 'Lean On' live and she's touring right now... she's a partner with us and loves playing with us live," he said.
"['Blaze Up The Fire' vocalist] Chronixx, I think might be on some shows, we'll just see what happens.
"It's too hard to bring all the acts on tour but we'll try and do some special stuff every once in a while.”
Talking to MTV Australia backstage at the Governor’s Ball NYC, MØ revealed she had some surprises in store for her Australian fans.
“I can't spoil anything because I'm not sure yet, [but] we'll see!”
