Stars pay tribute to Whitney Houston
Many of the world’s biggest stars have been paying tribute to the late, great Whitney Houston following the one year anniversary of her death on February 11.
The legendary diva died at the age of just 48, after being found in the bathtub of her hotel room prior to Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
In honour of the star, many celebrities have taken to their social networking accounts to pay their respects and remember Houston’s incredible contribution to the world of music.
“It's 2/11..remembering my friend the incredible Whitney Houston. It's been a year & still so hard to believe. Her legend lives on eternally,” tweeted Mariah Carey.
“A year since Whitney. Marilyn, Judy, Sylvia: tell em' how you feel girls. otherwise no one will,” wrote Lady Gaga on her official Twitter page.
Nicole Scherzinger posted a vintage snap of Whitney Houston to her Instagram page alongside an image of herself paying homage to the star.
“Today marks the day, it's been a year. I will always love you Whitney..” wrote the former Pussycat Doll in the caption.
Meanwhile, singer, songwriter and producer, Ray J, who was dating Whitney at the time of her death, penned a heartfelt and emotional tweet to his former flame.
“1 year ago I lost my heart. I would give anything just to see you smile again. I love u so much and I miss you even more today. RiP- Nippy.”
While Ray J’s sister, Brandy, added: “She was the greatest voice of all time and nobody will ever come close to touching her. I will never forget her.”
