Everything You Need To Know About Bishop Michael: The Royal Wedding Preacher
Forget Harry and Meghan, because the 19th of May will forever go down as the day we met Bishop Michael Curry.

You'll remember the American preacher, delivering his 14 minute sermon feet away from Queen Elizabeth, giving quotes like "let's get ya'll married," and "who came here in a car?"...."FIRE!".
Twitter blew up during his sermon, with everyone trying to figure out who this man was and why he was so legendary.

Watching the royals trying to keep a straight face whilst listening to the American preacher is what I live for #royalwedding

Born in Chicago in 1953, he entered the priesthood in 1978, rising the ranks to become a bishop in 2001.
He was a graduate of Yale Divinity School, writing a book titled Crazy Christians.
While he is the head of the Episcopal faith in the conservative city of Utah, he defends the rights of LGBTI people to marry in the church, making him even more awesome than we ever imagined.
Bishop Curry isn't your regular priest. He's married himself to a woman named Sharon, and the couple have two daughters.

The 65-year-old is even technologically connected - reading his sermons from an iPad.
His appearance on Saturday was a historic occasion, as traditionally the sermons at Royal Weddings take place by a Church of England priest.
Bishop Michael isn't a stranger to the Royals too, as in 2015 Queen Elizabeth appointed him a serving brother of the chivalric Order of St John.
