Linsday Lohan Disses Zendaya’s Cinderella MET Look & The Internet Is Not Happy
Zendaya stunned the red carpet in a custom Tommy Hilfiger with a jaw-dropping light-up Cinderella moment, but according to an Instagram comment made by Lindsay, “Claire Danes already did that.”
The dress in question is a light blue Zac Posen that Claire wore to the 2016 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology'-themed Met Gala, which was crafted with fibre-optic strands to glow in the dark.
The Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club star followed up her comment by saying, “@clairedanes you wore this dress so beautifully, I don’t know why someone thinks that they can be more chic. Ever.”
Zendaya’s fans were quick to trash Lindsay’s opinion with a user writing, “Why weren’t you there? Did your invitation get lost in the mail? She looks beautiful. Jealousy is an ugly color!!!!!”
“No one remembers that but everyone remembers you getting punched in the face for tryin to steal someone’s child [sic],” wrote another, referring to the time Lindsay livestreamed her trying to take a child from a homeless couple in Moscow.
The saga continued when Lindsay posted a side-by-side comparison of herself and Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Looks like someone’s a little jealous of Zendaya’s Disney princess pull-off!
While Claire’s dress is not confirmed to be Cinderella-inspired, Zendaya has been receiving endless applause for her LED-lined gown, paired with ‘glass slippers’ and a pumpkin carriage clutch.
Regardless of what Lindsay thinks, we reckon Zendaya and Claire both slayed it respectively and hey, isn’t mimicry the highest form of flattery anyway?
