KNOTB Collaborate With Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson is in the process of recording his long awaited comeback album this year and the collaborators are lining up.
Kanye West, will.i.am, Ne-Yo and Akon are all allegedly working with the fallen pop star but rumors have been a-swirling that yet another group will be joining the crusade to revive Jacko's music career; New Kids On The Block!
Is this wishful thinking on NKOTB's behalf? If you believe internet rumours, not so.
The New Kids allegedly met with Michael at his home in Nevada last week to go over possible collaboration on his new record as he attempts to revive his career following his acquittal of child abuse charges three years ago. If the rumours are true, then we can be sure this album will definitely be er, 'different' than anything else we've heard!
The 'original' US boy band drenching panties long before Justin Timberlake landed on the scene, are reuniting after a 18 year hiatus. In their heyday, KNOTB sold over 80 million records with hits including 'Hanging Tough' and 'Right Stuff'.
New Kids On The Block singer Donnie Wahlberg says, "It's very exciting. It's one big party and everyone wants to join us." NKOTB are set to tour in September.
But while The New Kids have already released a single, MJ has been more secretive about his plan of action. The 'Bad' singer was due to release his much anticipated album this year to coincide with his 50th birthday. But a source said: "He has been in the studio for months. He wants to create an amazing album and won't release anything until he is totally satisfied.
"He's a musical genius and record bosses want to leave him to develop his magic. It will be down to him when it is released."
We're a touch confused. Michael Jackson is known for bizarre behavior, but collaborating with NKOTB sounds downright insane. For a start he shouldn't be collaborating with anyone with the name "kids" in the title. Just kidding.
Perhaps we should have a little more faith in the hit maker. If the leaked song 'Hold my Hand' with MJ and Akon is any indication of Michael Jackson's capabilities, then maybe we're in for the 'Right Stuff' after all.
