Forget an OTT showbiz ceremony – newly engaged star Miley Cyrus says she doesn’t “really care” about how her and Liam Hemsworth mark their big day.
In an explosive new interview with Marie Claire magazine, the tween Queen, who got engaged to the Aussie actor in June, said,
“I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other.”
And a fancy do isn’t the only celebrity wedding tradition she’s turning her back on!
Snubbing the Hollywood trend for a shotgun marriage, the 19-year-old insists the pair WON’T be rushing down the aisle.
“We want to have a long engagement,” she added.
And talking of her engagement – the ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ singer says that despite some wedding talk, the proposal, and her Neil Lane ring, came as a “complete surprise.”
“I had no input,” she said of her gold vintage band.
“We'd been kind of talking about [getting engaged], and I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty, but I usually wear rose gold. I just love that it's old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear.”
