Survivor Legend & AFL Player, Moana Hope, Is Expecting First Child With Wife Isabella Carlstrom
There’s certainly somethin’ in the quarantine waters at the moment.
In more exciting baby news, former Women's AFL star Moana Hope and her model wife, Isabella Carlstrom, are expecting their first child.
After three unsuccessful rounds of IVF, the former Collingwood and North Melbourne AFLW player and Survivor All Stars contestant announced that her wife is 13 weeks pregnant on Instagram.
“We are going to be MUMS 👶🏻💕,” she wrote holding a cute lil pic of an ultrasound of Carlstrom’s tummy. “I don’t yet have the words to fully explain how happy we are. It’s a dream come true for us and in November we get to meet our little person.”
We are going to be MUMS 👶🏻💕 I don’t yet have the words to fully explain how happy we are. It’s a dream come true for us and in November we get to meet our little person. 👶🏻 From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank @monashivf and the team for everything you have done to support us. You have helped make this dream a reality. 💕 Holding this in for 13 weeks has been so bloody hard. My heart is exploding. @isabellasofiacarlstrom 🤰🏽💕👩❤️💋👩 #blessings #love #family #happy #monashivf
She also thanked the team at Monash IVF clinic for making “this dream a reality”. The pair have been open about their difficulties in falling pregnant, with Hope announcing in March that Carlstrom hadn't been successful in falling pregnant on two occasions.
“It is completely normal. We reset after every time we give it a go and then we try again,” Hope said in March. “I think what if you let what is going on [Coronavirus] get to you I think mentally you are already putting yourself in a bad, negative place. We are staying positive.”
And thankfully, they did! They now have an adorable “little person” to look forward to come November.
