Someone Has Been Stabbed On The Set Of Anne Hathaway's New Movie
A stabbing incident has shut down the set of Anne Hathaway’s new movie The Witches, just outside of London.
According to the Herfordshire Mercury, a member of staff at the Warner Bros Studio in Leavesden was rushed to hospital following the “knife-related incident” around 12:35pm yesterday (June 19).
It is believed a fight broke out between two stagehands known to each other, with The Sun reporting a Stanley knife as the weapon.
“One man sustained a neck injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance. A second man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody,” a spokesperson for the Hertfordshire Constabulary said in a statement.
Hathaway is cast as the Grand High Witch in the remake of the 1990 movie based on Roald Dahl’s children’s novel. She stars alongside Chris Rock and Octavia Spencer, with the film scheduled for an October 2020 release.
