Hold Up, The Purge TV Show Is Actually Gonna Show More Than Just Purge Night
If you thought The Purge TV show was just going to focus on Purge night, you might be surprised to learn what's really gonna go down.
Blumhouse boss Jason Blum, has revealed the forthcoming series will focus on all the other non-Purge days of the year.
During a presentation earlier today, he gave a little teaser for fans saying it will be “an entirely new chapter in America’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness.”
The show "will reveal to the fans what happens the other 364 days of the year," he says (as reported by AV Club).
"How does that law affect people the rest of the time?”
He also confirmed that the show is being made concurrently with the fourth film installment in the series, something that “as far as we know, we don’t think [has] ever been done before.”
James DeMonaco - who directed the first three films and penned the fourth movie - is directing the series. He says he's hoping the first season will be a 10-hour anthology format.
So just like American Horror Story, if it were to get renewed, we'd have a new set of characters and stories to binge-watch each season .
The Purge 4 is set for released next year, and it's rumoured the TV adaptation is set for release soon after.
