The Internet Is In Full Fury Over Disney’s ‘Home Alone’ Reboot Announcement
Movie juggernaut Disney has just announced their reboot of the 90s Christmas classic Home Alone and it has fans shook.
According to Disney chief Bob Iger, it will be “reimagined for a new generation” for their new streaming service Disney+, and we’re not so sure how we feel about that – don’t fix what isn’t broken.
In case you’ve forgotten the flick, it’s little 8-year-old Macaulay Culkin running around his big old empty house after his family accidentally leaves him behind on their festive vacay. Then some burglars come and it just turns freaking badass.
The announcement comes after Culkin tweeted his hopes for a “slew of 80s/90s sports movie remakes”.
Also it would be cool if Daffy Duck was in all of these.

It turns out he was right on the money (coincidence?) and has been teasing his followers with what the remake could look like.

It seems like Culkin is in good spirits about the upcoming project, though there’s no word as to whether he’ll be attached to it.
Disney, at the same time, also announced they’ll also be remaking other classics including Night At The Museum and Cheaper By The Dozen, and Twitter is pretty defensive.

We’re interested to see what Disney will work into these re-imaginings, and we’re sure hoping Culkin at least makes a cameo.
