29 fans hospitalised during Avicii concert in Toronto
Almost 30 fans were rushed to hospital during Avicii’s concert in Toronto, Canada, while the Swedish producer performed at the Rogers Centre on Saturday night.
While no exact causes have been confirmed, many concert-goes are believed to have “overdosed” from alcohol or drug use, according to Toronto EMS Commander Peter Rotolo.
"Unfortunately we have a few kids...excessive alcohol and partying and they can't handle it," Rotolo said. "There's a lot of people here and a few don't spoil it for the rest."
Avicii – real name Tim Bergling – is yet to comment on the night’s chaotic events, but did take to Twitter to thank his fans for their support.
