Ariana Grande reveals exclusive details about new song ‘Ridiculous’
Ariana Grande has revealed that she has almost finished working on a new song called ‘Ridiculous’.
The track is set to appear on the ‘Baby I’ singer’s as-yet-untitled second album, which she will start recording in a couple of days after returning to Los Angeles from a trip to England.
When asked about the song in an exclusive interview with MTV News UK, the singer revealed that it’s “really crazy” and “interesting melodically… more like gymnastics,” adding that she’s “really excited about it.”
“It's called ‘Ridiculous,’ I’ve never said that before. It’s a great song – I love it. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep it or not because there’s a little string sample in it, but I want to take all the music out and do something different anyway. So I’m going to change that,” she dished.
The 20-year-old’s new album will follow-up her LP ‘Yours Truly,’ which reached No. 1 on the Australian iTunes chart at the end of August.
When quizzed further about the album Ariana explained: “It’s been crazy and I feel like I’ve learnt a lot and grown a lot as a person so I have a lot to write about.”
Ariana is also getting attention from other well-known female pop singers, with Miley Cyrus recently revealing she’d written a song for her in the shower and Katy Perry saying that she has the best female vocal in pop music today.
If you’re a big fan of Ariana you can catch her as the Backstage Host of the ‘2013 MTV EMA’ where she will be bringing you all the behind-the-scenes action live from Amsterdam on November 11.
The ‘2013 MTV EMA’ will air LIVE from the new Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on Monday November 11 @ 6am AU / 8am NZ – only on MTV!
