Benga quits music to ‘start a family’
British DJ and producer Benga has announced he is quitting the music industry to start a family with his fiancée Holly-Jae Treadgold.
Taking to Facebook to spread the news, the Dubstep pioneer revealed that he’s in love and has decided to leave the DJ game to focus on family.
“I’m [engaged] to Holly-Jae Treadgold the love of my life, my djing career is finished I just wanna start a family,” he wrote. “Big up to all my real supporters it’s been a lovely time.”
The producer – real name Adegbenga Adejumo – has received support from good friend and long-time collaborator Skream, who together, with Artwork, formed dubstep group Magnetic Man, with the DJ tweeting:
Salute to my brother Benga.... It takes a lot to announce something like that. He's been nothing but pure inspiration to me over the years.

Benga released his debut solo album, ‘Newstep,’ in 2006, with his latest, and final record, ‘Chapter II’ coming out in May 2013.
Thanks for the good times (and your Radio 1 mixes).
