The moment Twihards everywhere have been waiting for has finally arrived, as a sneak preview from the highly anticipated final film in the ‘Twilight’ franchise ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 2’ just premiered at the '2012 MTV Video Music Awards!'
The film’s cast, including stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson took to the stage at LA’s Staples Center to introduce the exclusive 90-second clip, but Kristen Stewart, who plays heroine Bella, was noticeably absent.
“For four years we’ve been working as a family on the Twilight films,” Taylor, who plays Jacob Black in the hit saga, told the audience.
“It’s been an amazing journey and we’d like to thank all the fans of the series,” Rob added before the trailer started.
The footage begins with Pattinson’s character Edward Cullen talking over scenes of Bella as a newly-turned vampire.
“I have a bad habit of underestimating you,” he tells his bride.
“Every obstacle you’ve faced, I’d think you couldn’t overcome it. But you just did.”
“My time as a human is over. I’ve never felt more alive,” Bella replies.
In the footage, she is seen turning into a vampire and hunting in one scene she jumps off a cliff.
Later on Alice, played by Ashley Greene warns the cast of the imminent arrival of the Volutri.
“They’re coming for us,” she says in the sneak peak before a shot of Edward swinging Bella who kicks a villainous vampire.
“The epic finale that will live forever,” are the closing words for the trailer.
