‘Captain America 2’ will not be as stand alone a movie as Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, according to Marvel Studio Head, Kevin Feige.
In an interview with CHUD, Marvel’s President of Production said that the Captain America sequel, which stars Chris Evans, will take place in modern day with close links to SHIELD and Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson).
“Iron Man 3 is a very singular Tony Stark story. As is Thor 2,” Feige told the website.
“Cap, who is stuck in the modern day with no friends or family, there will be some revelations of who is still alive from his days in WWII, but SHIELD and Nick Fury are kind of his confidants right now.
“So of all these movies, Captain America 2 will be most closely associated with The Avengers".
The Avengers made it into the record books last week with the biggest opening in box office history, raking in US$200.1 million in its first three days of release.
