Giorgio Moroder to play Vivid Sydney 2014
Daft Punk collaborator, synth god and disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder is set to perform in Sydney this May as part of Vivid 2014.
The esteemed producer will headline several events throughout the festival, including a DJ set at the ‘Studio Party,’ an exclusive Q&A session, and an orchestral show of his music performed by the UK’s 50 piece Heritage orchestra on June 1st.
Sydney dance music duo The Presets also feature on the lineup, with the group set to perform ‘Timeline,’ their collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra – described as a “kaleidoscopic journey through 42,000 years of music” – at the Opera House on May 29.
Vivid LIVE will also see the Pet Shop Boys headline a three-day event called Modulations at Carriageworks, as well as US alt rockers the Pixies.
The full program will be released on Monday March 24, so stay tuned for more announcements as they come.
