He’s come along way from his days at Summer Bay – and now we can reveal that Aussie’s very own heartthrob Lincoln Lewis
is joining the 2012 Optus ONE80PROJECT!
The ‘Home And Away’
hottie, who’s starred in ‘Underbelly: Razor,’ ‘SLiDE’
and movie blockbuster ‘Tomorrow, When The War Began,’
will appear as a judge for the local competition, designed to find the next big thing in TV and filmmaking!
Gushing about taking part in the joint project between Optus
and MTV Australia,
in association with Event Cinemas,
that offers aspiring Aussie TV and filmmakers the opportunity to kick start their dream career, he told MTV,
“As a young actor and someone who has been on the other side, I understand the importance of investing in the television industry within Australia.
“This is a great opportunity for creative talent to develop their skills and to be recognised by a wider audience. It is a fantastic platform for individuals to showcase their ideas for the chance for them to be turned into a pilot. I can’t wait to see what this year’s entries bring.”
If you want a shot at the $180,000 production budget and a share in the $30,000 cash prize pool, including a cool $10,000 for the winner of the Public Vote Award, all you need to do is submit a 180-second pilot and treatment by January 14 2012.
And in an Optus One80Project first, this year’s competition is also offering a $5000 cash prize for the best pilot filmed on a mobile phone!
The public vote opens on January 24 2012, and the top 10 entries will be selected by a panel of high-profile industry judges and screened at a live festival event in Sydney in March 2012.
