Mick Jagger ‘devastated’ after girlfriend L’Wren Scott found dead
Designer L’Wren Scott has been found dead in her Manhattan apartment by her assistant in the early hours of the morning.
According to Police and The New York Times, the talented designer and long-term girlfriend of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger did not die under any suspicious circumstances and is said to have been suffering financial woes from her failing businesses.
A spokesperson for Jagger said the star was “completely shocked and devastated” after hearing the news that his girlfriend of almost 14 years had died.
Scott was a beloved member of the fashion community having been a model for many years and Thierry Mugler’s muse before becoming a respected high-end fashion designer and more recently, co-designer for a more affordable Banana Republic line.
L’Wren’s spokesperson issued the following statement:
"We confirm the tragic death of L’Wren Scott. At this devastating time for Ms. Scott’s family and friends, we request that their privacy be respected. There will be no further public statement for the time being."
Jagger was dining at Coco’s Restaurant in Perth when he heard the devastating news and it is expected that the rest of the Australian tour will be cancelled.
The Rolling Stones touched down in Australia on 14th March.
