Miley Cyrus death hoax freaks fans out!

The star has gone silent on social media…

Miley Cyrus is a massive social media lover, always posting creepy videos, pics and tweets but now after a four-day hiatus a horrible death hoax has gone viral.

According to the Epoch Times, a distressing Facebook scam has claimed the beloved ‘Bangerz’ star has died of an overdose in her LA home.

“{SHOCKING) Miley Cyrus Found Dead in Her Los Angeles Home! Country singer Miley Cyrus found overdosed this afternoon in her Los Angeles home,” the post reads.

The post is apparently designed to lure people to click through and spread online surveys to make money.

Readers are redirected to a post that looks like Facebook, but isn’t, prompting unsuspecting fans to give money to online scammers.

This shocking post has unsurprisingly outraged Smilers the world over, with many taking to Twitter and the star’s Instagram demanding the truth.

“My brother just came into my room and said Miley cyrus was dead, and I cried imedietley! Who knew apparently I’d be real emosh if she died!” one fan tweeted.

“You better not be dead Miley :(,” posted another.

“Miley I miss you ;((“ one fan wrote after realising the star had not posted on Instagram in four days.

Hollywood Life has speculated that Miley’s recent myseterious trips to the hospital may have made her a target for the death hoax.

The star was hospitalised back in April “for a severe allergic reaction and sheer devastation over dead dog Floyd,” the website writes.
