Aussie pop princess Gabriella Cilmi has discovered an odd ritual to calm her nerves before she performs.
The singer, who suffers from the jitters ahead of her gigs tells The Mirror, “I get really nervous before I perform, I feel sick.
“To get over it I get my band to punch me in the stomach.”
The ‘On A Mission’ star has also resorted to a less painful solution too – mediation.
Revealing how she dealt with her nerves ahead of one of her biggest ever performances last year, she said, “Just before I played Glastonbury I thought I was going to wee myself! I get really funny. So I did these meditation classes to help me sort that out.
"I find that I work best when I just have to throw myself in to the deep end - feel the fear anyway."
The beauty, whose new album ‘Ten’ is out now, will be back in Oz this Thursday.
