Peaches Geldof found dead at 25
Peaches Geldof, the British presenter, socialite and daughter of musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, has been found dead in her Kent home.
Bob Geldof released the following statement confirming her tragic death,
"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever.
How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."
According to BBC News, police were called to her house at lunchtime on Monday after concerns about her welfare were raised. Her death has since been treated as "unexplained and sudden.”
Peaches leaves behind two young sons, Phaedra Geldof-Cohen and Astala Geldof-Cohen and her husband of 2 years, Thomas Cohen who released the following statement,
“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day.
We shall love her forever.”
Just before her death, Peaches posted a couple of videos of her sons and an image of herself and Paula with the caption, 'Me and my mum.'
