Pharrell Williams talks Miley Cyrus: “I love Miley”
Pharrell Williams has defended fello muso Miley Cyrus who features on his acclaimed album ‘G I R L’ in the song ‘Come Get It Bae’.
Talking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, Pharrell sung Miley’s praises.
“I love Miley man,” he said. “I’ll never forget talking to you like a year or two years ago telling you like, she’s on her way.”
He even mentioned her now-buried alter ego Hannah Montana, saying the 21-year old has come a long way in her career.
“Everyone thinks that she’s Hannah Montana and that’s a really thin slice of her personality, there’s so much more there,” he continued.
“And you know the saying still goes, there’s so much more to her and when you guys see where she’s headed next and what she’s up to you’ll get more of the breadth of what she can do.”
Pharrell also touched on his epic Oscars performance, saying it was the “highlight of my life.”
Williams was over the moon about getting the chance to serenade A-listers in the front row, saying: “That was awesome man, to get a chance to do that with her and Lupita Nyong’o and Amy Adams.”
‘Happy’ was nominated for Best Song in ‘Dispicable Me 2.’
