REVIEW: Tinie Tempah at Future Music Festival 2014
The UK rapper didn’t need to be 6” tall to make an impression on the Sydney crowd at Future Music Festival.
Proving to his fans that he is every bit the entertainer, the English star – real name Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu – got the party started by throwing props into the crowd and jumping into the pit to shower fans in the front row with champagne.
It was the perfect build-up to his megahit ‘Drinking From the Bottle’ which had everyone jumping up and down.
Soaked in either champagne or water from the hoses which security guards used to drench the front row, fans were lapping up the hype during the high-energy hit, ‘Earthquake.’
As Tinie’s entourage continued to hype things up on stage, the rapper ran up to drop the mega hit ‘Miami to Ibiza’ – his famous collaboration with dance gods, Swedish House Mafia. The catchy tune was sung by the whole crowd, everyone loving the impromptu a capella.
The UK superstar closed his set as the crowd chanted “yeah mother*cker, yeah mother*cker, yeah!” – definitive proof that everyone had a killer time.
“That’s a f*cking amazing time,” Tinie shouted before running off stage.
