If you’ve glanced at the box or gone to the movies anytime over the last twenty years, then chances are you would’ve caught a glimpse of our new judge for the OPTUS ONE80PROJECT - internationally-acclaimed actor Sam Neill.
Joining the judging table in the fourth year of the competition, the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor will join a panel of industry experts including Aussie-born ‘Twilight’ hottie Xavier Samuel, ‘Beautiful Kate’ starlet Sophie Lowe, US based MTV Films heavyweight David Gale and Cinema mogul Chris McGlinn.
The Kiwi-born actor, who has starred in films including Lord Of The Rings', 'Jurassic Park’, ‘The Piano’ and more recently the Aussie-made vampire flick ‘Daybreakers’, said he is looking forward to seeing what Australia’s hot talent has to offer.
“I’m pleased to be involved as the judge for the 2010 OPTUS ONE80PROJECT as I think it’s a great initiative for up and coming film makers,” said Sam. “I encourage everyone to give it a go and I'm really looking forward to seeing some interesting new work.”
