‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ World Premiere
Jennifer Lawrence sparkled at the World Premiere of
’The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ in London yesterday, despite braving the rain and the cold.
Wearing a white Dior Haute Couture dress, the star joined the extensive cast including Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson for the opening of the highly anticipated sequel.
An overwhelmed Lawrence told
The Telegraph: "This is absolutely insane… It is wonderful, I just can't believe how many people are here."
‘Catching Fire’ follows on from Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta’s (Hutcherson) victory in The Hunger Games. While the battle may be over however, the war against The Capitol is just beginning. After emerging from the games as a heroine, Katniss soon realises she has become a symbol of rebellion. The movie once again sees Katniss and Peeta team up, as they fight for both their survival and for peace.
Both Lawrence and Hutcherson have admitted to enjoying taking on their courageous roles:
“I love this character so I am enjoying her now in this movie and we're doing ‘Mockingjay’ right now and I'm enjoying her even more," said Lawrence.
“I love Peeta and I think he is a character that really, when I first read the books I thought that his arc was really interesting,” gushed Hutcherson.
“I am really happy to be coming back.”
'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' opens in cinemas worldwide on November 22.
