Filming may have wrapped - but that certainly didn’t stop Hollywood action hero Jeremy Renner showing off his newly learnt stunt-skills at the Australian premiere of ‘The Bourne Legacy’ last night!
Snubbing a stretched limo or blacked-out Bentley, the US superstar marked his arrival in Sydney by riding up the red carpet at The State Theatre on a motorbike!
Giving local ‘Bourne’ fans a peek at what’s to come from the fourth flick in the franchise, the 41-year-old, who performed almost all the action-packed tricks on-screen himself, shunned the need for a helmet and leathers as he cruised past crowds in his suit.
“I enjoyed everyday of filming,” the two-time Oscar nominee told MTV Australia of his new role as leading lad Aaron Cross.
And we’re not surprised to hear it! As well as getting the chance to unleash his inner action junkie, the actor also got to star alongside the gorgeous Rachel Weisz.
Chatting about the pair’s on-screen chemistry, director Tony Gilroy, who joined Jeremy on the red carpet told MTV Australia,
“It was kind of surprising to us.
“As we moved along we began to see some very encouraging signs about how they seemed together on camera and we leaned into it a little bit and felt there was real opportunity there.”
But when it came to all the daring action scenes, Tony admitted he had a few reservations!
“I didn’t have any back-ups, you can’t send in a sub,” he joked.
“So if Jeremy’s doing something he has to be able to work the next day or the next week, so you’re always monitoring his appetite to do stuff.”
‘The Bourne Legacy’ hits cinemas across Australia August 16!
