Full Biography

The Hume brothers Dann (drums), Jon (guitar, vocals) and Peter (keyboard, bass) have been rocking out together as Evermore since 1999.

Originally from New Zealand, and legends in their home town of Fielding, the adopted Aussies have been nominated for 6 ARIA awards, claiming their sport as the countries leading dream rockers.

Independently, Evermore released EPs 'Slipping Away' in December 2002, 'Oil and Water' a month later and 'My Own Way' in late 2003. Subsequent national tours and support from Australian youth radio station Triple J followed, generating attention not only from enthusiastic audiences but also the music industry.

Releasing their debut album 'Dreams' in 2004, the boys moved from the grungy riff based rock of their earlier releases to a more conceptual, spacious sound, pulling influence from modern musicians such as Silverchair to classic prog-rockers Pink Floyd.

While their sound was already receiving huge chart success, critical acclaim and accolades in New Zealand (they won the coveted Silver Scroll Award for songwriting in 2006 and plenty of NZMA's trophys) it wasn't till three singles, 'It’s Too Late', 'For One Day' and 'Come To Nothing' were used in promos for TEN’s 'The OC' that listeners ears started to prick. 'It’s Too Late' was also featured in the American show, which effectively, bought them an audience of millions.

After signing with major label Warner Music Australia and relocating to Melbourne, Evermore released their sophomore album 'Real life' in July 2006. Their second full-length record reached #5 on the ARIA Charts, and has almost reached double platinum. Producing singles 'Running', 'Never Let You Go' and 'Unbreakable', as well as Evermore’s first ever #1 Australian single 'Light Surrounding You', 'Real Life' reinstated Evermore as one of the most popular bands in the country. And just as a bit of proof, Evermore were named Channel V Oz Artist of the Year in 2007.

Having played over 300 live shows, Evermore, who have relocated to Sydney, are currently taking a rest from touring to work on their spankin’ new album, rumored for release early November 2008.
