Full Biography

From the sweatiest clubs to festival stages, HEROES FOR HIRE have spent the last two years impressing audiences with their high energy pop punk anthems.

Since unleashing their second studio album Take One For The Team in 2011, HEROES FOR HIRE have been all over commercial radio with clips added left, right and centre on TV networks nationally. With a hugely successful stint on the Soundwave Festival already under their belts, 2012 is set to be a huge year for these 5 Sydney mates.

Earlier this year the band enlisted Steve Klein of US pop-punk kings New Found Glory to produce their third album, No Apologies, with HEROES FOR HIRE guitarist and songwriter Duane Hazell stating the record’s moniker "is our way of saying we aren’t sorry for the music we make, the way we act and who we are as people."

Bunkering down in their local Sydney surrounds, the highly anticipated affair’s first single (and title track) is already impacting radio right around the country, with the song’s accompanying video set to become a permanent fixture on your television screen thanks to the band’s selection as MTV’s local produce artist for the month of August.

With a release date slated for Friday September 28th, No Apologies will be the latest in a series of impressive records to hit shelves via the recently unveiled Shock Entertainment imprint, Halfcut Records. Label head honcho Stu Harvey had the following to say on HEROES signing.

"I'm thrilled that HEROES FOR HIRE are the first Australian addition to Halfcut. Their drive and work ethic fits perfectly with the label and the other acts inked to the label. Everyone at Halfcut / Shock is excited about how well the new album No Apologies has turned out and we are proud to share it with everyone."

In the lead up to No Apologies street date, HEROES FOR HIRE will be performing at the annual Big Sound conference (alongside acts as diverse as Claire Bowditch and Hungry Kids Of Hungary) this September, as well as joining platinum-selling US pop-punks Yellowcard on their soon to be sold out headline tour of Australia.

Recently completing their first tour abroad, headlining shows in Thailand and China as well as supporting Mayday Parade and Every Avenue throughout Japan, and spearheading their most extensive Australian trek to date throughout July, HEROES FOR HIRE will continue their unrelenting assault on global audiences in the coming months.
